About the Event

7th Seed (Val is on the Advisory Board of this organization--and has done an incredible amount of work to help us ), will be hosting a gathering to celebrate and honor the work of our coach/ mentor/ teacher/ friend.  Her time at Gordon College is coming to an end, and we want to celebrate the impact she's had on so many lives.  Come and stay for the weekend or just join us for a day (families are welcome).   There will be oportunities for farm projects,  hiking, or just reconnecting with old friends  in the afternoon on Saturday, then a celebration dinner with time for sharing appreciations.

If you cannot come to Vermont for the weekend, there will be a place on the registration to sign up for emails about the following ways to be involved: joining a short live zoom call of the event, sending pictures to share, and sending notes of appreciation.  Those who are joining in person can come with something to share (either written or verbally).

We hope many will join us as it will be a fun time to spend together.

Val thinks the weekend is a farm work weekend (and there will be projects people can help out with ), but she doesn't know the central purpose of our gathering is to celebrate her role in our lives.

Please share a link to the is invitation with anyone you think would like to join (except don't share it with VAL).

Our lodge can sleep about 35 (first come first serve), and there is space for camping on the property, or you could stay locally.  We'll provide a dinner Saturday evening, and a breakfast Sunday morning.    We ask those who can, to consier a donation to cover the cost of food and cleaning for the weekend: Donate.

For those who can’t make it in person—or even if you are coming in person— Sara Britt is collecting videos for a video message tribute and putting together a book of messages.  Please a message (lower right corner of this webpage)  for more details on how to send your notes or video messages for Coach Gin.

Rides from Burlington airport are available upon request.
